was assembled by Steven Fox from some of Britain's
leading classical instrumentalists of the younger generation. The orchestra
performed using instruments which are exact replicas of those used in the
early 18th century, when the orchestral pieces were first written and
performed. This ensures that the sound of the music is completely
authentic - exactly what C.P.E. Bach, G.F. Handel and Antonio Vivaldi
intended, and how audiences originally heard their music. |
